This is what went down today in the Assembly National  Article 1. The objective of this Law is to conserve, protect and provide tools for the sustainable management of sharks, directly improving the health of their populations and ensuring sustainable use that guarantees the following objectives:1. Ensure the resilience and recovery of sustainable biomass levels, ensuring the health of shark populations.2. Restore, maintain and improve the health of the key places for the reproduction of these species of sharks.3. Regenerate and maintain balance in the ocean food chain.4. Ensure the regeneration and maintenance of healthy shark populations to promote ecotourism and long-term sustainable fishing.This Law applies to fishing vessels, both commercial and non-commercial, with a Panamanian flag in the jurisdictional waters of the Republic of Panama. In addition, this Law applies to any other vessel from other States that fishes in the jurisdictional waters of the Republic of Panama
